EP: Water wind wood wire.
“Caleb Ramon Lopez weaves piano, woodwinds, and electronics with found sound: cicada song, wind on a sunshade, rain and the sea on Paros, a bamboo forest (now gone) creaking like a dream of a ship in a windstorm (gone, too). A tenor saxophone is recorded dry as a bone, solo, searching. In a later recording, it swoops through the air of a streetside train station corridor. Moments of brightness flash like returns of a lighthouse beacon in a tense recording of piano in a thunderstorm, made woozy with tape processing. In "Mobiles," layers and loops of woodwinds and piano dance around you, or maybe you're walking through it, turning this way and that, trying to catch it all before it fades.”
